The £100,000 upgrade of Tarbert play park has completed ahead of schedule and a range of new out-door equipment is ready for the children and young people of the village to enjoy.
Putting children’s rights at the heart of school life, policy and decision-making has led ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ to be one of only three local authorities in Scotland to achieve one hundred percent of its Primary and Secondary Schools registered for UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting Schools Award.
The council would like to thank everyone who gave views that will help develop a draft visitor levy scheme for ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute which, if approved for consultation by Council in December, will go out for public consultation in January 2025.
¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ has welcomed today’s news that it will receive up to £20 million of capital funding from the UK Government for local growth projects in the area.
Work has started on a project in Campbeltown that will see residents benefit from better walking and cycling routes along the town’s Cutting and Quarry Green.
Community Food Groups across ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute have benefitted from a share of £57,453 after councillors agreed to provide them with unspent monies from the Scottish Government’s LACER Fund (Local Authority Covid Economic Recovery).
Following feedback from local communities in Mid ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ has commissioned a team of consultants to develop a detailed design for a proposed new route that will make it safer and easier for people to choose to walk and cycle between Lochgilphead Front Green and the Crinan Canal.
