Five key infrastructure and community projects have been identified for potential funding via the UK Government's Community Regeneration Partnership Funding (CRP) initiative.

Thousands of households have already benefitted from the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute Flexible Food and Fuel Fund (FFFF) and now, due to its success, councillors have agreed to extend the scheme until March 2026.

Work will begin next month to restore the fifth building to benefit from the Lochgilphead Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS).

Staff and children are celebrating at Apple Tree Nursery, Rothesay as they become the first nursery in ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute, and only the third in Scotland, to receive a prestigious Gold from UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School programme.

¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥â€™s Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) Pilot Project for the Lorn Arc Area has been extended by 10 years, allowing additional time to implement key infrastructure and development investments that will help to create a significant economic boost to the wider Oban area.

A visitor levy involves everyone, so the council is hosting a series of drop-in events and online information webinars to help people in ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute find out more and get involved in assessing one for the area.

From whisky to seafood, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute is renowned for its exceptional local produce. Now, in a UK first, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ is introducing local wild venison to school menus on Islay and Jura.
