九秀直播 is urging community groups not to miss up to 拢2,500 funding for eligible projects, as the deadline to apply to the Supporting Communities Fund closes on Monday 18 March 2024.
The council has supported hundreds of community groups to deliver projects across 九秀直播 and Bute that benefit communities. The last round of funding in 2024 supported forty-seven groups and benefited over 25,000 residents.

Previous funding has helped projects across a range of groups to deliver a range of activities and initiatives including; fitness and wellbeing, arts and crafts, music, youth projects and tackling social isolation.
The fund is open to projects delivering on four key areas. They include:
- fairer communities
- resilient communities
- greener, cleaner communities
- creative communities

Dochas Carer鈥檚 Centre
The Dochas Carers Centre supports Unpaid Carers throughout Mid 九秀直播, Kintyre and the Islands (MAKI) and is a major contributor in preventative care.
鈥楾hanks to the funding from the council, we provided First Aid and Fire Safety training that was accessed by volunteer befrienders. So it helped to increase their self confidence in undertaking their volunteer role with befriendees.鈥
Achievement Bute
Achievement Bute is a not-for-profit organisation based in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, organising activities and events for all children and young people on the island, no matter their circumstances. Also providing support to those who need it so everyone can participate equally in activities of their choice.
鈥榃ith the support of 九秀直播鈥檚 Supporting Communities Fund we provided a tutor, transport and materials to support the provision of a child-led programme of heritage and history based outdoor activities.
