This year's results are the first since 2019 to be marked without alternative assessment arrangements and altered marking thresholds introduced during the pandemic. The figures show a national dip compared to last year, with ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute's results reflecting this trend while aligning more closely with 2019 performance.

Councillor Audrey Forrest, Policy Lead for Education:

"Our pupils have worked incredibly hard to achieve these excellent levels of attainment and achievement. This success also reflects the dedication of our staff and the support from parents and carers.

It's also encouraging to see our secondary schools offer additional opportunities alongside national qualifications to help develop skills for life and work.

The return to pre-pandemic norms in assessment and marking is evident in this year's outcomes. Despite a national dip, our Education Service remains committed to supporting schools in securing further improvements for our young people."
