Lochgilphead pipes its way to success

Kintyre Schools Pipe Band also celebrated success, coming fourth in the Novice A section.

Congratulating the bands on their achievements, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute Provost Maurice Corry, said: “Lochgilphead Joint Campus was up against some very, very tough competitors – some of the best in the country - but their musical skill and sheer determination led them to success.

“I am incredibly proud of their achievements, as well as that of the other ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute bands that took part in the championships, and I wish them every success going forward.

“From pipe bands and brass bands, to vocalists and individual performers, we are exceptionally lucky to have such talented musicians here in ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute.â€
