¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ is seeking bids from organisations wishing to deliver activity as part of the UK Community Renewal Fund. Aimed at stimulating growth and supporting people and communities, the Fund is part of the UK Government’s No one left Behind agenda.
¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute has been identified as one of the priority areas for the fund which involves the distribution of a total of £220 million of funding for 2021/22 across the whole of the UK.
In submitting bids, priority will be given to initiatives that have the greatest potential to deliver against key local growth priorities. They include:
- Investment in skills
- Investment for local business;
- Investment in communities and place; and
- Supporting people into employment.
Councillor Robin Currie, Leader of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥:
“It’s vital that we continue to attract investment for ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute to help create employment opportunities for our existing communities and attract new people and business to the area. The UK Community Renewal Fund is a great opportunity for organisations looking for additional funding to help support these key priorities. I would encourage anyone who hasn’t already done so, to apply. â€
The UK Government will announce the successful bids from late July onwards. Approved projects must be financially completed by 31 March 2022.
Applicants are encouraged to maximise impact and deliverability through larger projects (£500,000+) where this is possible. For the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute bid the minimum project value that will be considered is £100,000 as this opens up the fund to a wider range of applicants.
The Fund is open to applications now and closes on 21 May 2021.
