The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute Local Development Plan 2 was adopted on 28th February 2024, and replaces the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute Local Development Plan 2015 and its associated Supplementary Guidance (March 2016), and Supplementary Guidance 2 (December 2016).
Local Place Plans (LPPs) are a new way for local communities to become engaged in planning to help shape the places where the community lives, works and plays.
¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and Bute is considered to be a biodiversity hot spot with some of the best examples of a range of Land, Freshwater and Marine and Coastal Habitats and Species in the UK.
The Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 (section 16E) requires all local Planning Authorities to prepare and maintain a list of anyone interested in acquiring land for self-build across their authority area.
